Day 22 Bodga Dunes SP to S.P. Taylor SP

Here are Weston and my miles today:  http://www.endomondo.com/workouts/qFlVf39SMj4
From the day before we went to Bodga Headland to try to see a nice sunset.  It was very windy.  This photo of Weston doesn't show the wind.

Here the best sunset, not awesome yet, but it does have a seagull in it.

This morning we left Bodega Bay in heavy fog.

We went inland dirctly and by the next city, Valley Ford, it was clear.
Biking along Tomales Bay was beautiful.

Eventually we came to the sign for Point Reyes National Seashore.  Both Weston and I have many memories of scouting activites here, mainly backpacking into Coast and Coyote (aka Skunk) camps.
Our activity tonight was to go to Point Reyes Lighthouse.  It was 45 minutes from the Point Reyes Visitor Center but boy what a difference.  As you can see it was amazingly windy.
and foggy...

Also as in this movie.

Here is the lighthouse after we walked .4 miles and 302 steps down.

Here is Weston on the cat walk around the lighthouse.

Here is a photo of the Fresnel lens they used in the original light house (gas and 1000 watt electric).

In modern times this whole lens assembly and light is replace witht a 40 watt light and modern fresnel lens (right most mast on this house below the old lighthouse.
