Last night we tried to get the awesome sunset and got these, pretty good but still waiting for the awesome one.
Last night I took a picture of the Big Dipper again.
And a little latter, and a little darker I got this one. Can you find it in this mess of stars.
As we started our bike ride we saw this Coast Guard boat head out of Noyo Harbor. It was very powerful, they put into full reverse and it was amazing what it could do.
We took a side trip to Point Cabrillo lighthouse.

Here is the beach at Van Damme State Park that Weston knew about as a scuba diving place. He got to talk to a diver and learn a little more about it.

After biking we visited the Point Arena Lighthouse. Here are a number of wonderfull photos taken from the top of the lighthouse, outside on the observation platform.

In the Visitor Center and gift shop We took this photo of the Fresnel lens that use to be atop the light house. They use much more efficient and easier to maintain lights, using only a 40 watt bulb.
We were told this was one of the most sunny and beautiful days you can expect on the Mendocino Coast.
