My first day of riding will be on July 16th, 2012.
After our 1800 mile bicycle trip down the American West Coast we are on to our next adventure serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Kumamoto, Japan.

Practice bike ride
Luetta and I leave this Thursday to work our way to Vancouver by car to start the bike ride to Mexico. It is very close. Keep posted for updates to this blog. Here is a photo of a recent practice ride from Antioch, CA to Sacramento, CA (68 miles) and back on the next day. The photo is entry back into Antioch.

Sounds like quite an adventure! I'll be praying for your safety! :)
ReplyDeleteSee you at the start.
ReplyDeleteWow! That sounds like fun! I am Delirious' brother, Mr. Giggles. I will be doing my first distance ride on July 19. It is only 125 miles, though, and your ride sounds like so much more adventure! I will try to send positive energy out to you (and any other fellow cyclists that day) if I can find any! I am not climbing any huge mountains, but I do get to end my ride 1800 feet higher than when I started. I hope you will post some pics when you are done. I love talking with others who have caught yhe cycling bug!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment. I hope you have a great 125 mile ride (Is that one day?). 1800 elevation gain is nothing to sneeze at. Pics will be on my blog.
DeleteGood luck Terry - This sounds like an incredible adventure that you are about to embark on. I'm in awe and a tad bit jealous. Keep us posted and ride safe!
ReplyDeleteJon is taking off on his "practice run" with the scouts tomorrow! Should be fun!
ReplyDeleteDid Jon make it down to Sunset Beach, I understand he had some bike problems.
