Today we spent some time in Oregon before going to Seattle. My mother had a souvenir plate she got after she married my father and moved to Oregon. We plan on visiting all the oregon sites on this plate in rememberance of that happy memory. One was Crater Lake which we visited yesterday. Today we visited Multnomah Falls in the Columbia River Gorge just outside of Portland. Here is a photo of this double water falls, with a total elevation of 610 feet.
Luetta and I hiked to the top a total 2 1/2 mile trip with:
However we are fairly sure they did not make an accurate count. Here we are at the top, looking away from the falls.
Here is looking down.
After this we visited Luetta's cousin (actually his wife Rosylyn Myer) in Vancouver, Washington. Her husband Fred was out helping someone in the church move. We are now in Seattle waiting for Lynn and Louis to arrive so we can continue our trip to Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
After our 1800 mile bicycle trip down the American West Coast we are on to our next adventure serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Kumamoto, Japan.
